About Us

Carothers Pkwy Veterinary clinic is owned and operated by Dr. William Thor Rye. Dr. Rye has been practicing medicine in the Nashville area since 2003 and is extremely proud to share his vision of veterinary medicine with you in his new facility.

Dr. Rye, born and raised in New Orleans, joined the United States Navy where he was part of the Navy Ceremonial Honor Guard. During this period, he was part of the Silent Drill Team, Navy Colors and Arlington Escort, honoring hundreds of veterans laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. He also achieved a White House Clearance enabling him to carry out ceremonies for the President of the United States.

Dr. Rye attended North Carolina State University Veterinary School in Raleigh, NC. The NCSU veterinary program is in the top 5 in the nation and prides itself for producing well rounded graduates. Dr. Rye’s main support is his family. His wife, Christina, and children Isabella (3yrs) and Hudson (6 mos) round out the perfect family. Of course we can’t forget J.D. and Maggie, our “thicker than thieves” pair of dogs that are always innocent.

Our lead technician is Ms. Kim Leeper. Graduating from Columbia State, she has been a licensed veterinary medical technician in Tennessee for over 15 years. Her experience is instantly recognizable the first time you speak with her and watch her bond with the patients.
